Dressing History provide accurate historical reproduction dress and accessories for sale, such as poke bonnets, clocked stockings and 100% silk ribbon. We also offer engaging historical interpretation, and a very successful series of talks on various areas of historical fashion. With an emphasis on quality and historical accuracy, we are able to provide a reliable resource for dress historians, re-enactors, museums and the heritage industry. We believe in the importance of dress reproduction as a tool to be used to understand the history of material culture, and see our work as a form of experimental archaeology.
Past clients include The Ironbridge Gorge Museum Costume Project, The Science Museum, Clifton Park Museum and the Jane Austen Centre, Bath.
